Timothy W. Woods
Tim has tried cases in the State and Federal Courts of Indiana and Michigan, argued cases in the Indiana and Michigan Supreme Courts, and in the Sixth and Seventh Circuit Courts of Appeal.
Being experienced in several areas of law, Tim has practiced before the National Labor Relations Board, defended those accused of crimes in State and Federal Court, formed corporations and partnerships, counseled business owners on employment issues, represented individuals in divorce proceedings and has counseled individuals in their estate planning. For approximately the last twenty years, he has concentrated on general civil litigation, including defending employers in discrimination cases and insurance defense.
He has participated in the University of Notre Dame Law School Trial Advocacy Program and has served as a member of the faculty, National Institute for Trial Advocacy at the University of Notre Dame and Northwestern University.
He also serves or has served on several State and local organizations including Chair or Co-Chair of the Indiana State Bar Association American Citizenship Committee, as a member of the Board of Directors of the Indiana Bar Foundation, President for many years of the Knollwood Homeowners Association and President of the Knollwood Country Club Board of Governors.
Tim is a second generation lawyer. He was born in South Bend, Indiana and attended St. Joseph's High School. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Naval Reserve in 1974. He is married and has three adult children.
